ATTACHMENT INSTRUCTIONS

MITI-RHINO "M" SERIES VEHICLE IMMOBILIZERS
With little practice your MITI-RHINO Vehicle Immobilizer can be securely attached to a motorcycles rear wheel in 30-60 seconds or less. Bi-directional stand design provides for attachment to either side of the rear wheel, left or right side of wheel. As motorcycle design may limit installation to a specific side of the wheel. Your MITI-Rhino immobilizers design will
provide you maximum flexibility and function. To use in a different direction, with bolt tube to the left instead of the standard right configuration, simply turn over immobilizer, loosen the stand bolt, rotate the stand, and re-tighten the stand bolt.
CAUTION: Make sure traffic area is clear of traffic before attempting attachment!
1. Place your MITI-RHINO Immobilizer on the ground behind the rear wheel with the bolt tube facing away from the motorcycle. Insert the Secur-Key into the bolt tube, push in while rotating
the key until the Secur-Bolt's machined head indexes into the key. Rotate the Secur-Key counter clock-wise until you are able to fully open the inner Immobilizer jaw. Leave the key in place.

2. Check to insure that the wheel has no protruding obstacles which would prevent the immobilizer from being attached. If so you may have to boot the front wheel. Generally wheels have openings which enable the immobilizer jaws to come together once tightened. Solid rims can be booted and the immobilizers jaws will not touch on the ends.

3. Pick up Immobilizer with both hands, or as an alternative, place the bottom of the stand on the ground or pavement directly in front of the wheel you wish to attach the immobilizer to.
Then follow steps 4,5, 6 and 7.

4. While holding the Immobilizer arms open, slide the immobilizer arms tips (ends) along the inside and outside of the tire and wheel until you feel the inside tip fall into place between the wheels spokes. Visually check or feel with fingers to insure that the immobilizers arms tips are in place and
engaged within the wheel between the spokes of the wheel. If the immobilizer arms tips are not properly engaged or are merely resting on the wheels spokes damage may occur if tightened. The
tips must be indexed into the wheel, between the wheels spokes for secure attachment. The outer arms should close in around the tire and wheel with the tips touching or almost touching. Note:
The tension spring will aid in the attachment process.

5. When the immobilizer is properly in position hold it in place with one hand while you tighten the Secur-Bolt. Remember to turn the Secur-Bolt clock-wise until the immobilizers arm tips come
together or are positioned as close as possible. On some installations the tips will not physically touch, however the immobilizer will be securely attached when the secur-bolt is tightened.
Remove Secur-Key, Insert bolt cutter resistant shank padlock in bolt tube for additional security (Holes provided). Optional Padlock and Padlock Cover available to fit your Rhino Immobilizer. Optional cover prevents use of bolt cutters on padlock shank. Creates a three tier tamper proof locking system.

6. Fill out and attach the Immobilization Notice to the vehicle. Place notice in plain view and in a conspicuous location.

7. REMOVAL: Reverse the above procedure.

CAUTION
1. BEFORE ATTACHMENT: Make sure there is no oncoming traffic before attempting installation of immobilizer Boot. 4. Keep Secur-Keys and Padlock keys in possession of trusted personnel.
DANGER
1. There are several hinged moving parts located on the immobilizer. Instruct installers or other involved personnel of the danger of these pinch points in order to prevent personal injury. Proper
handling and installation can easily be accomplished without personal injury.
MAINTENANCE
MITI-RHINO Vehicle immobilizer Boots are very durable and will give years of trouble free service if properly maintained.

1. Occasionally or as necessary, lubricate Secur-Loc bolt with WD40 or similar lubricant.

2. Store in dry area whenever possible in order to prevent moisture accumulation and unnecessary corrosion of working parts.

3. Prevent damage to motorcycle wheels by periodically inspecting and replacing the protective rubberized end caps located on the immobilizers arm tips if they become damaged or are missing.

● Will fit cycles with solid or spoked rims
