| B. IMMOBILIZER STAND: (PIVOTS FOR ATTACHMENT TO ANY WHEEL) Provides for attachment to either front or rear of any wheel, both front or back single wheeled vehicle wheels. Low 3 1/4" Profile, provides for attachment to vehicles with low slung ball joints or body profiles. | |
| C. JAWS: (RHINO'S UNIQUE SINGLE JAW TO DOME ATTACHMENT DESIGN ELIMINATES THE POSSIBILITY OF DAMAGE TO THE OUTER WHEEL! ) Only one inner Jaw is required on the Rhino D Series Immobilizer. Design incorporates an inner jaw which is permanently affixed to the inner pivoting arm. Jaw attaches to the inner wheel's outer rim edge (flange); simultaneously outer arm with adjustable, telescoping and pivoting dome assembly, centers and clamps attached dome with protective edge heading firmly against outer wheel. Both outer and inner Immobilizer arms are welded in place at the Tamper proof Secur-Bolt box assembly forming a unitized tamper proof one piece assembly which is light weight, easy to handle, and simple to install. | |
| JAW & INDEX LOOP; AFFIXED TO HINGED INNER ARM: (RHINO SINGLE JAW. SELF INDEXING DESIGN) : Jaw is constructed of one piece 1-1/2" x 3" extruded and die formed steel channel welded in place to a 1/2 inch 3" x 3" steel stem at the outer inside end of the inner pivoting immobilizer arm. Welded in place on the outer side of the jaw is a steel wheel indexing loop which aids in the alignment and centering the jaw on the wheels edge (flange). Grip range is from six (6) to fourteen and one half (14.5) inches for all DST Models. Inner pivoting arm and affixed Jaw with index loop is designed to encircle the wheel radially enabling the index loop to index automatically within the wheels cavity allowing the jaw to seat against and center itself automatically on the inner wheels outer edge (wheel flange) for encapsulated metal to metal contact; outer arm is designed to hold dome assembly with protective edge trim directly against the wheel or hub cap. NOTE; The Rhino D Series Single Jaw to Dome attachment method, in place of the Jaw too Jaw attachment method or double Jaw, eliminates damage to the outer wheels edge (flange) entirely, while also eliminating the space between the domed wheel cover and wheel in which pry bars are often inserted for attempt at forcible and unlawful removal. INNER ARM INSTALLATION ASSIST SPRING: A Zinc plated installation assist spring is connected from the inside of the outer arm to the bolt box housing. This spring aids in the installation of the Immobilizer by pulling the pivoting inner arm inward to make contact with the wheel, thus maintaining pressure against the inner wheel during the attachment process. RIGIDLY AFFIXED OUTER ARM:(SELF ADJUSTING TELESCOPING DOMED HEAD. NO ASSEMBLY REQUIRED) Constructed of 1-1/2" x 3" Die formed rectangular steel tubing for superior strength and function. 3/16" x 1 1/2" Die formed steel tire stop is permanently affixed on inner side of outer arm near bolt box. This stop serves two functions. First it meets the tire, indenting the tires sidewall rubber at point of contact when tightened, preventing side to side movement of the immobilizer, Second it creates a truss effect at the bend in the outer Immobilizer arm, near the bolt box, increasing the arms strength, preventing bending of the arm through forcible means. The outer arm is permanently affixed to the bolt box with a continuous welded seam. A tamper proof telescoping assembly with a hingedly affixed dome with protective edge heading is affixed to the outer arm. This assembly provides a three (4) inch adjustment of the dome which allows for the dome to be centered on the wheel during the installation of the assembly. The Dome assembly is designed to clamp directly against the outer wheel or hub cap without damage to the wheel or hubcap. Dome assembly prevents removal of the wheel. |

| D. ADJUSTABLE TELESCOPING DOME ASSEMBLY: (TAMPER PROOF DESIGN) Constructed of Die formed II Gauge steel for superior strength. A functional 90 degree vertical sidewall is formed at the outer circumference of the dome. This functional design distributes the attachment pressure evenly at the outer edge of the vehicles wheel or hubcap, where it is stronger. This design is superior to Immobilizer models which feature discs which center the pressure or stand off from the wheel or hubcap. Design eliminates the gap between the dome and wheel or hubcap in which pry bars or other tools are inserted for attempt of forcible removal of the Immobilizer. Dome prevents removal of the wheel. | |
| Dl. Dome Sizes; (AVAILABLE WITH. 18" & 20" DOME SIZES - With DST-18 being the most commonly
utilized unit) Dome depths, 18" dia. x 3-1/2" depth and 20" dia. x 3-3/4" depth. Dome depth
provides for hubs, hubcaps or other to protrude into dome without damage. Reduces access
behind dome cover. Custom dome sizes also available upon request.
D2. Durable metal reinforced protective vinyl heading at dome edge where it makes contact with outer wheel or hub cap prevents damage. D3. 3/16" x 3" Die formed steel bar hinge assembly permanently welded to center top of dome. This tamper proof assembly allows the dome to pivot or tip side to side automatically during the immobilizer installation. This action provides a snug fit against the outer wheel or hubcap preventing removal. Also aids in centering of the dome. D4. Telescoping dome assembly sleeve is permanently affixed to the hinge at the dome. D5. Conversion: Your service personnel can be trained to easily remove the dome assembly head affixed to the Immobilizer in order to install a larger or smaller size dome assembly. This is beneficial to small departments that wish to have all dome sizes available but can not afford additional immobilizers. Additional dome assemblies optional. |

| I1. Tamper proof housing (bolt box) assembly protects and keeps the Secur-Bolt assembly
permanently aligned. The affixed tube protects the bolt from damage and prevents
unauthorized persons from loosening it with pliers when it is in the installed position.
Housing tube has two holes provided for attachment of a padlock for additional security if
desired.
I2. 7/8" Stainless Steel threaded nut and machined 7/8" threaded and plated steel Secur-Bolt provides gall resistance and superior locking performance. When tightened the bolt applies pressure against the inner side of the inner immobilizer arm and pivots it into a closed position on the vehicles wheel. I3. A custom Secur-Bolt-Key is provided with each Immobilizer. This key fits the head of the Secur-Bolt which is machined to prevent unauthorized removal of the Immobilizer should a padlock not be used. Padlock is used for additional security protection only. I4. Width: Bolt box width for all DST Series Models is 3". This width enables the inner Jaw
to be horizontally and vertically square with the wheel edge (flange) for a secure |
