Power Requirements

|
| All
MV-I units are configured for operation with 120 VAC power or 12V
DC input. Maximum ampere draw is 30 amps with all devices activated.
Seldom would this occur, as the MV-I shuts down all components
which are not required for any given transaction, or goes
into a sleep mode until someone approaches the Terminal.
To insure that any given transaction will be completed in
the event of a power outage, all AC powered units are outfitted
with four (4) 12 Volt DC backup batteries, which charge automatically
from the AC power supply. These batteries are located on
the left sidewall of the case's interior, and will provide
approximately two days of operation without the beaters activated.
If the unit is configured with the optional battery pack
pedestal, the unit does not include the four backup batteries, and
operates totally on DC power provided from the pedestal base's
batteries. The optional battery pack pedestal is ideal for
remote locations where power runs are impractical and 12 volt
DC operations is required. To recharge these batteries a
solar charger can be engineered for the site and installed,
or the batteries can be simply switched out periodically with
spares, and recharged for the next switch out (exchange). |
| •Power
Processing Unit (PPU) +5, +12, -12V DC - With Rectifier
|
| MITI's
proprietary PPU (Red box) converts input power from AC to DC current,
also provides rectified polarity control which helps to
prevent component burn out due to incorrect power source
hookup (reverse polarity). Also provides all of the required
current levels which differ for the various components contained
within the terminal. Regulates and charges the terminals
backup batteries. Controls input source and battery power
manual On/Off switch functions. |
•Thermostatically Controlled Strip Heater Assembly
120 VAC 150 Watt
Provides regulated heat, maintaining proper case interior
temperature. May be omitted or disabled on Battery operated
units unless outfitted with solar charging (optional) unit.
Activates at 20 degrees Fahrenheit and shuts down at 75
degrees Fahrenheit Fused for safety.
•Thermostatically Controlled Cooling & Venting
Cooling is achieved by means of a thermostatically controlled
smart fan which vents hot air out at the top of the terminal.
As heat increases the Can increases speed and thrust thus
maintaining the proper flow of air through the Terminal to
keep temperature within the set range. Intake is at the coin
chute tray. Activates at 80 degrees Fahrenheit, can readily
be set to activate at other temperatures through software.
•Line Regulator (Conditioner) - 600 Watt, Output,
120 VAC, Input 93-150 VAC, Voltage Spike Protection 320
Joules, with circuit Breaker
Standard on all MV-I Terminals. Regulates high or low
input power to consistent 120 VAC output level, lengthens
component life and helps to minimize or prevent component
burn up due to inconsistent, low or high power levels. Circuit
breaker cuts power in the event of short, input power level
being to low or to high from source.
•Battery Backup - 2 ea. 12 VDC 17 AMP Sealed Gel
Batteries (Expandable)
Standard on all MV-I Units, Backup capacity for several
hours of operation without AC power input Readily expandable
by installation and upgrade to MITI's Remote Site Pedestal
Battery Kit which provides over 500 amps of power. Consists
of six deep cycle 12 V DC batteries and pedestal base with
access door.
•Solar Operation & Charging Unit
Optional, solar designed and configured per location and
requirement Works in conjunction with MITI's Remote Site Pedestal/Battery
Option. Call MITI or Your Distributor for details.
•Shock Sensor - Adjustable
Standard on all MV-I Terminals, provides for the detection
of attempts of destruction during vandalism or mischievous
acts or attempts at forced entry for theft. Sets off alarms,
daleth or video as set up through software. Level adjustable
for prevention of false signals due to passing traffic or
other. Siren |
| •Alarm
108 db |
Standard
on all MV-I terminals, provides loud siren alarm when motion sensor
detects attempts of destruction during vandalism or mischievous
acts or attempts at forced entry for theft. Sensor Level
adjustable at device.
• Video Camera - BW - Wide Angle - Horizontal
Resolution 380-400 lines
Provides action video or still shots of activity at face
of unit Activated by motion sensor and selection of emergency
selections. Future capability for placement of Patron photo
on Permit. Can be set to activate to Park mode preference.
• Radar Detector
Standard on all MV-I Terminals, senses Patrons approaching
the Terminal, activates the LCD Screen and Voice Messaging.
Sensor level adjustable at device.
• Speaker - 1/2" x 3" 5 Watt
Standard on all MV-I terminals, provides audible voice
messaging at the terminals Łace through the coin return tray.
Levels and sound and voice messaging set through software
by your staff.
• Microphone -
Standard on all MV-I terminals, provides a means for voice
contact from Patron to Office for Emergency and Fee Selection
Help situations.
• Change, Receipt, Permit, Decal &
Sticker Chutes
Chutes constructed of stainless steel, 3 total. Provide
a means of guiding the dropping of vended items such as
change, receipts etc. |
