| DECON HOOP WASH SYSTEM By MITI Manufacturing Co., Inc. |
| MITI introduced its, Patented, DH40 Decon Hoop Wash System to the Industry in 1989, and has since greatly expanded the line through addition of both two and four piece models (DH40 & DH40-4P, and numerous other accessories and/or ancillary equipment. The DH40 Series Decon Hoops are specifically designed to provide a 360 or 180 degree wash, to be highly durable and portable, stow in a confined space, to set up quickly and simply, and to reduce the amount of water required for personnel and patient decontamination or equipment wash downs. Only 4.6 GPM @ 30 PSI (.29 liters/sec @ 30 PSI) and 4.8 GPM @ 40 PSI (.30 liters/sec @ 40 PSI). Constructed of powder coated light weight welded aluminum with brass and inert fiberglass reinforced plastic fittings, the product is ideally suited for land, sea or remote site applications. By minimizing the amount of water utilized in the decontamination or wash down processes one reduces the amount of waste water which is costly and cumbersome to dispose of. MITI also introduces a, Patent Pending FS-I fluid soap/ decontamination agent injector, use in conjunction with the Decon Hoop or separately. The FS-I manually operated, foot actuated, injector provides for maximum control, the system will overcome high supply line pressures and inject measured bursts of decontamination soap or agents into the supply line feeding the Decon Hoop, as needed. The injector is also ideally suited for equipment wash down applications, thus greatly expanding the uses for the device. MITI's high pressure, Patented, Multi-Manifold, an important part of the Decon Hoop Wash System, connects directly to fire hydrants or fire apparatus providing a source of water supply and means of connection to standard 3/4 inch garden hose. MITI's Multi-Manifolds are constructed of welded aluminum, powder coated safety orange, and are available with either 2, 3 or 6 ports featuring 1/4 turn high pressure brass ball valves (Certified to 500 PSI) with 3/4 inch hose bib connectors. Multi-Manifolds also feature Rocker lug connection at fire hydrant or apparatus. Custom fittings are available. Whereas multiple ports are required for supply lines leading to different stages of the decontamination process the MITI-Manifold is ideally suited and specifically designed for the task. MITI introduces it's DP-6, Patent Pending, Portable Decontamination Pool with disposable liners. No air inflation or framework assembly required. Ideally suited for use at almost any location. This system is specifically designed for quick setup and use in conjunction with the Decon Hoop Wash System, and consists of a compressible pool retention ring (modified blower hose design) with ground pad and disposable pool liner. The pools retention ring is compressed for storage and expands automatically for use when removed from a powder coated welded steel storage canister, which is also provided with the system. Once removed from the canister the retention hose can be quickly formed into a circle configuration and the ends hooked together by quick couplers that are attached on each end of the hose. Then the hose assembly is quickly attached to the ground pad by means of straps and quick couplers which have been sewn in place on the pad. The assembly is designed for safety, convenience and to be highly economical to use. The side wall of the retention hose is high enough to hold 85 Gallons (322 liters) of waste water, but is low enough to enable easy entry into the pool by personnel for decontamination. High wall pools are not desirable, nor are they safe to enter. If personnel should slip and fall, the DP-6 pool wall will cushion the fall, possibly prevent serious injury, and spring back into place undamaged. The disposable liners reduce the cost of use over time and lengthen the useful life of the system. The DP-6 is the ideal decontamination training pool, as it can be utilized over and over, and only the 10 mil, economical Poly liners have to be replaced. MITI's, P-15 Portable Diaphragm Hand Pump, constructed of inert materials, with 1-1/2" inlet and outlet hose quickly removes waste water from the decontamination pool. 15 GPM (56.78 gpm) |
